My day was a really good one and I always look forward to the week ends though my babysitter flaked on me for Sat so I wont be going to the studio :( but will get to on Sunday !!!! I did have a rockin' Friday though! I did my cardio on the elliptical before breakfast and had a good time. It went by pretty fast and I did well. I did not ROCK it out but faired well. (by the end of the week I do tend to get a little tired in my legs LOL) any way......... did one hour of a vigorous pace and varied speeds here and there and intervals near end.
After breakfast we heated up the sauna and walked around the small loop while we waited, then came back for our yoga session. K played in the pool while I did my thing, and we both had a great time!! After I climbed in too LOL and we played together. After lunch was nap and chill time. I walked on the treadmill and watched some shows and then off to Kaylees swimming lesson :) What a blast! She did so good, though after she was tired and came out all attitude. But all and all a very good day.

thursday bliss
WOW did I have a great day!!! I had a rockin' time in the sauna with perfect spot on conditions. My class was so strong and centered. I sweat right from get go but did NOT feel hot and like I was expending a lot of energy. Just yoga bliss (the way it is meant to be) Then after breakfast me and Kaylee went for a rollerblade around the geese park. I have a couple things to say here .... first rollerblading for me is really easy and does not get my heart rate going I count this as an easy recovery day. I LOVE LOVE it though because its time for me and Kaylee to talk and visit and I get to experience power and speed and wind in my hair... It feels like running used to feel to me. (running also never really did get my heart up) I usually do two big laps around in about 50 mins. Today though I ROCKED it and pounded out two big laps and one small lap in one hour!!! so I got in a whole extra lap!!! It was our day to volunteer at the YMCA so off we headed to playcare. I miss the little ones it is soooo much fun to have three kids hanging on me and ten more screaming in line LOL
time for home and nap and miss K was out like a light. We hit costco and walmart then stayed up late and watched Alice in Wonderland.... good day

wednesday
it was a good day though I am still wondering what is the best schedule for me and my body. I've been playing around with so many things and they do all feel good but for diff reasons and I (obviously) cant do it ALL. LOL So I guess I will just keep playing and maybe that is what my body wants to do..... just play with diff things and not have a SET schedule???? here is kind of what I've been playing with
yoga early and cardio after breakfast (both at home and at the ymca)
cardio early and yoga after (both at home and at studio)
yoga early and heavy power lifting after breakfast
yoga early and circuit after breakfast
I've also varied the intensities of both cardio and yoga and the diff times based on how I was feeling and what was going on for me that day. wow so it is a lot think about and choose from .......... here is what I am thinking
mon cardio then yoga with k after breakfast
tues cardio then yoga at studio and vibration weight training
wed cardio then yoga at home with k
thurs yoga then cardio and volunteer at ymca and vibration weight training
friday cardio then yoga at home with k
saturday cardio then yoga at studio and vibration weight training
sunday yoga at studio
so that is kind of my plan and we'll see how it all goes. right now too Kaylee loves to come in the sauna room with me. we set up a tub and she plays in the water and we have a good time but..... she IS three and this may not last long LOL She starts school in sept too so then our schedule will be changing too so I am keeping this in my mind.
I had a good cardio session though and yes it was INTENSE !! I rocked it out and am def looking forward to an easy cardio day today, as I have done three HARD days in a row. My yoga too was very good and I am experimenting with the temps to find again what feels right in my body after such an intense work out... I want to sweat but dont want to feel HOT or intense in itself. I can handle ONE hard session a day not two (on a reg basis any way... once in a while I can do it) the down town studio is PERFECT in this regard and I am trying to sweat and still feel cool in my sauna as well. At the new studio it is just cool all around though I do glaze and get a mild to mod sweat going. Any way that is my beef and talk soon .

tuesday
well I had a really good day. I started off with my cardio and again rocked it out. I did one hour of hit on the elliptical and had a great time. I love the intervals because they seem to go by soooo much faster than just riding. When your doing intervals you think in terms of sets so in your head you have only 2 mins left or three mins ect rather than thinking about the whole 60 mins. I love it. i go usually in five min sets
the first five is warm up then .....
4.5 1 min mod
5.0 1 min vigorous
4.5 1 min mod
5.5 2 min all out
back down to 4.5 and repeat until you hit one hour then cool down. this is my work out.
then my sitter came and off to the studio I trotted. I was sooooo debating which studio to go to. I LOVE to sweat and I knew at my new studio I dont and at the old one I do. however I HATE the old studio. the vibe the smell and whole environment is just ugh. (plus I have to pay .. at the new studio I have membership) I ended up going to new studio and saving money. lol I had a great visit with great company and had a really nice class (though no REAL sweat :( ) OH WELL its more important to me to feel comfortable and practice YOGA. I feel like at the old studio your at a side show stage performance!!! The whole thing is very theatrical with micro phones and full of competitive people showing off. It is NOTHING like a 'yoga' class.
After class I came home for lunch and put Kaylee down for her nap. She is too funny LOL I told her after nap we were going to wash the van and clean it out ..... she got all excited and said ' get out!!! ' (she's three!) We had a GREAT time in the afternoon though. she was COVERED in soap bubbles and had a blast then off to the geese park for a good walk. She did awesome walking the whole thing and even wanted to stop at the park and try out every piece of exercise equipment. She IS growing up and so I decided to up her bed time (depending on nap schedule). She DID have a good nap so I let her stay up and again we had a good night together.

monday
yup its monday.... ugh I hate mondays LOL kidding! I had a great day. I have decided to nix my yoga in the morn for the most part and do it with Kaylee after breakfast. So I do my cardio before and yoga after. I made this change for a couple of reasons.
1 it feels better physically in this order.
2 I always felt a little nervous being in the hot room with Kaylee sleeping.
3 I love playing and being with her while doing my yoga and getting her involved.
however I want to still be able to sweat and this is difficult with her in the room !! I dont want her to get cooked LOL so... brilliant mother that I am I put a plastic bath in the room. I filled it with cold water and let her play with all her bath toys and keep cool while I sweated like a mad woman. She thought it was a blast and it killed her that I was wet too LOL she could not figure it out how I was getting wet!! but yes we did have a great time. she would climb in and out as she felt and just played and was comfortable.
My cardio session too kicked ass!! I nailed it and was so proud. I did an hour hit session burning 350 cals!!!! 50 more than I norm would doing cardio. yup I rock it out. It was a good day.
after all our workouts and showers and getting everything all cleaned up we went outside and splashed in some puddles and took her bike out for a bit. in the afternoon it was just cores and errands and home for dinner. talk soon

Sunday family day
I always love Sunday and Church is a big part of why I feel that way. I love going to church and dancing and celebrating and feeling and just being part of something so much bigger. I also love snuggling up with my girl and spending the special quality time together. This day was no exception... we had a really awesome time :) Then we hit walmart and did some shopping for our growing girl and the house. We came home for lunch and rather than nap we curled up on the couch and watched treehouse for a bit of quiet time. We baked some peanut butter bars then my sitter came over and I headed off to yoga. I hit the old studio because my reg studio had no sunday 4 class in the summer :( oh well.... I had a great class though I still stand by the feel of my reg place. I am so conflicted because I like the whole atmosphere and so many other good things about my studio. The only thing I like about the down town one is that I sweat more due to their steamer. Oh well...good class just HATE the smell in the hot room with the carpets and just how yuck it can feel (all sloowshy after class) gross ugh if only my reg studio would get brave and turn it up a bit...!!!

saturday in the pool
We had the best day!!!! I started with my low impact session in the sauna which is running up and down a step for one song then running on a mini-tramp using my arms for the second and switching off like that for one full hour. This routine is a lot of fun but is very intense and though I have done it more I find it works best when done once a week. I've adjusted my temps and humidity a little and now do this at 110 with a slightly higher humidity (same thing with my yoga ....... 112) I find it works better. Had a great go and felt awesome. According to my trusty heart rate gadget I burned 405 cals (keeping in mind the computer does not know I am sweating it only goes by heart rate and o2 intake) and it does not factor in the after burn either. It takes me a lot longer to recover from this than my elliptical which burns 300 cals in one hour.
After a good breakfast with my girl I went to the studio for my yoga. I had an AWESOME class :) and a great visit with all the girls. Came out on cloud nine
I came home and the first words out of my daughters mouth were "mommy I crying I no want go night nights" lol wich is soooo funny because I was thinking on the way home what a beautiful day it was and maybe skipping nap for a buggie ride before we hit the pool in the afternoon. So we walked to the store where she was allowed to pick one treat ( a giant three foot ice cream ) then hit the pool. We had the best time and i can not believe how brave she is getting!!!
